Notes |
- Harry was a handsome and well spoken man of high character who began his work career as a buggy salesman in the southern United States. He married Jennie Lind Tower in the United States and later they settled in England where he set up a manufacturing plant for undergarments in Essex. The family lived in Ipswich, Essex. Their son, Cunard Tower (David) Dawson, was named after Benjamin Dawson's friend Joseph Cunard, brother of Sir Samuel Cunard, founder of the Cunard Steamship Line.
