- Brother of Sir Gilbert de Nogent who married Rosa, sister of Sir Hugh deLacie who had been given the county of Meath by his Majesty. Sir Gilbertobtained with her as a marriage portion, the Barony of Delvin, (exceptthe village of Tor-rochelack, belonging to the Abbot of Foure,) whichlarge tract of lands be distributed amongst his brothers and others. Hedied in 1202, without issue surviving, having had two sons Adam and Hugh,who both deceased without issue, during the life time of their father.
Richard, the second brother, succeeded, whose only daughter and heirmarried Richard le Tuit, who became, jure uxoris, third Baron of Delvin.
