- "It is this writer's opinion that Ewen, second son of John MacMillan inLagganfern, was progenitor of the Corriebuie branch. Corriebuie lies onthe south-west side of Loch Quoich and was mainly possessed by MacPhees.Ewen MacMillan had a son Allan, who was living at Landavra in 1779, andin early 1800 he took action against John Cameron of Corriechoillebecause the drovers of the latter were being blamed for carrying awaysome of MacMillan's live stock. Ewen MacMillan of Corriebuie, possibly agrandson of Ewen from Lagganfern, and his wife and children emigrated toGlengarry, Canada in 1802."
