Presbytery Records-Census; printed c.1820. "...the records ofPresbytery and synod were kept with great care, and the latter havebeen printed to the year 1820. They give the name of the ruling elderin each congregation for the year of the general synod, and often thenames of commissioners sent to the synod to represent local interests. Names of witnesses in cases which came before the synod also help toestablish the home towns of Presbyterian families. ... The meetinghouses stood in the towns here given, but some parishioners lived inadjoining towns." Page Appendix VI.; Page 343:

NOTE: THIS IS THE "BLAIR" FAMILY ANCESTORS. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT KNOWNEXACTLY HOW THE FAMILY LINE CONNECTS AT THE PRESENT TIME. MUCH MORERESEARCH IN IRELAND WILL NEED TO BE DONE AS YET. THIS FAMILY OFBLAIR'S IN AMERICA DOES KNOW THAT THEY ORIGINATED FROM THE COUNTY OFANTRIM IN IRELAND TO AMERICA, AND THAT THE ANCESTORS FOUGHT IN THE WAROF THE ROSES AS KNIGHTS. THE ABOVE BRYCE AND JAMES BLAIR ARE THE ONLYELDERS LISTED IN THE COUNTY OF ANTRIM DURING THE EARLY c.1700s TIMEPERIOD. IT IS NO DOUBT THE FAMILY LINE. ALSO, IT'S NOTED, THE AGESDO NOT EXACTLY CO-INSIDE WITH JOHN BLAIR (ABT. 1765), AND THERE IS AGENERATIONAL GAP. AS STATED, MORE RESEARCH IS NEEDED.
