Just returned to NC. Don't remember if you had this obit or not. Found
it while looking thru Emily Hallocks many drawers of obits. Also drove
past the old homestead near Welcome Lake, would have taken a photo but didn't
have my camera with me. Bev.
Obit:
William Case - Welcome Lake - William Case of Welcome Lake, owner of
Case Construction and Bill Case Polaris Snowmobiles, a lifelong area
resident, died Thursday, July 30, in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He
was 69.
Son of William P. and Nellie Gregory Case, he was born July 23,
1929, in Welcome Lake. He was a U. S. navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member
of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church, a former member of the Wayne county
ASCS, a charter member of the Welcome Lake Fire Company, a Pike County Forest
Warden, a former member of the Lackawanna Township Planning Committee,
a member of the Pike County Republican Committee, a member of the
Penn-York Snowmobile Club, a member of the Ace Snowmobile Club, and a member of
the Pike County Snowrunners Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Mach Case, at home; four sons,
William J., Douglas G., Mark R. and Craig A. All of Welcome Lake; a daughter,
Debra S. Gries of Welcome Lake, two half-sisters, Shirley Mott and Luella
Cosgrove, both of Welcome Lake; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by a half-brother Ray Troop.
Services were private. The Rev. Richard Jagger officiated. Burial
was at the Welcome Lake Cemetery.[Arron Dexter.FTW]
