"Hazel moved to El Centro, California after WWW II. I am thegranddaughter of Lucille (Blackson) Brady. They lived in La MesaCalif. If she was related to your Hazel then I knew Art, Juanita, andTelly. Art was crippled from Polio, I think. I believe Hazel moved toEl Centro, CA after WWII and Juanita and my mother Eunice were cousinsand best friends. I have an old picture of Juanita and she lives in LaMesa. Telly was married to Dot (Dorothy) but, their last name wasMcCoy. Let me know if this is part of your family? Jan Washburn

Kandace,
Thank you very much for the obtiuary information. I hadn't gottenaround to trying to get it yet. I was going to contact the localpaper there this fall to see if I could get all three of them at thesame time. But, this is great.
I have the information on the cemetery where Hazel and her son Tella &Dorothy were buried at there with the plot numbers and such. Did Isend it to you?
Now, Tella and Dorothy lived at 4110 No. Bonita St., in Spring Valley,San Diego County from the very beginning when they moved there fromOhio. Tella had bought the house with the war bonds he had savedwhile he was in the service. Dorothy told me that herself. And Iknow that Hazel stayed with them. Her daughter Juanita, and Tella'shalf sister, lived one block over from them. Etc.... Juanita wasalways good to me though....I know Dorothy used to clean her house forher on a regular basis weekly for pay, because Mac (Tella) would notgive Dorothy a house allowance. I do know that Dorothy liked to shop, because her and I would hop a bus and head downtown every week towindow shop at the malls when I lived out there. I kept in touchwith Dorothy after leaving California, by writing to her on a regularbasis over the years as the boys were growing up, and do have severalletters that I've kept. My boys went out West to visit with themseveral times, and my oldest son Michael visited in Ohio and Kentuckywith the families. I have nothing but good thoughts and good thingsto say about them both. I could not have asked for better in-laws.I haven't talked to Juanita since 2003 by phone. The last letter Isent in 2004, she never returned an answer. Again, I was going totry and contact Juanita this fall and see what happens. When I livedin Spring Valley in the 1950's and 60's they did not have a newspaper, but La Mesa did. I don't know yet if they have one there now. I willof course be finding that out later on as well.
Art died from long term polio complications. Mamie lives in Texas.Did you know that she is not expected to live very long? She recentlyhas been in the ICU, and her husband is now bed fast. Dave wastelling me this last week. I did let him know that Shirley sent yousome information.
I have a question? Have you tried to go back any further on ElizabethHatfield? Just curious?
Well, I have to go fix supper. Talk at you again soon. God Bless,Sandy
