There is , however, no doubt that Angus Og ofthe Isles, who succeeded his elder brother Alexander in 1303, marriedMargaret, daughter of Guy O'Cathan, anglicised O'Kaine, of Ulster, thetocher being, according to Hugh MacDonald the "Sleat Seannachaidh", sevenscore men out of every surname under O'Kain. Of these Irishmen, severalare said to have become the heads of clans or septs in Scotland, andamong them MacDonald specially mentions "the MUNROs, so-called becausethey came from the Innermost Roe-Water in the country of Derry, theirnames being formerly O'Millans"......'
