    " URIAL C. DELP, (B. 1828 Kentucky D. 9-25-1903 age 75 Parke Co. Ind.) MARRIED: 1861 to Nancy Clore (B. 1845 D. 6-20-1896 Parke Co. Ind.Dau. of: Urial and Dorothea Ann (Cosby) Clore.
    NOTE: Urial C. Delp, farmer, of Wallace, Ind., was born in Kentucky,in 1828, and is the son of James and Malinda Clore Delp. The former anative pioneer settler of Kentucky. He came to Parke Co. with hisparents in 1837. His father died in 1880, age eighty years, and hismother in 1873 in the 62 year of her age. Urial, married in 1861 toNancy Clore. He ran the Mill on sugar Creek, known as Delp's Millsfor twenty years. When he began life for himself he had but littleproperty. His education was as only such as a pioneers school ofParke, Co. could give him. The first settlers experienced muchdifficulty in procuring bread stuffs. Prior to 1826, the nearestpoints at which they could obtain these articles were Alamo andRoseville, Ind. In 1826, Solomon Lusk built a Mill at the Narrows ofSugar Creek, in Sugar Creek Twp.     "DELP, Urial C. farmer, Wallace, was born in Kentucky . In 1828, andis the son of James and Malinda (Clore) Delp, the former a nativepioneer settler of Kentucky. He came to Parke Co. With his parents in1837. His father died in 1880, aged 80 years and his mother in 1873,in the sixty-second year of age. Urial C. Delp was married in 1861 toNancy Clore, daughter of Urial and Dortha A. (Crosby) Clore. By thismarriage he has 9 children: Malinda A; Marion S; Edward S; Ulysses G;Ambrose B; Ida J. And Cora E. He ran the mill on Sugar Creek, knownas Delp's mill for 20 years.     NOTE: I have been going over the notes of Joyce L. Clore Elkins andthose of Cathi Clore Frost and comparing them for some sort ofcollaberation on where the family was located. It would appear thatthe farm land bordered both Parke and Montgomery Counties andoverlapped into both. So, it has been very difficult to determineexactly which county is the birth and death counties of individuals inmany cases. Also, in many cases, where one of them is married in acounty it's not necessarily where they lived in a county and viceversa.     NOTE: I have been going over the notes of Joyce L. Clore Elkins andthose of Cathi Clore Frost and comparing them for some sort ofcollaberation on where the family was located. It would appear thatthe farm land bordered both Parke and Montgomery Counties andoverlapped into both. So, it has been very difficult to determineexactly which county is the birth and death counties of individuals inmany cases. Also, in many cases, where one of them is married in acounty it's not necessarily where they lived in a county and viceversa.     Notes of Joyce Lorraine Clore Elkins: "NOTE: *URIAL CLORE, WAS BORNIN KENTUCKY IN 1814. HE CAME TO INDIANA AS A YOUNG MAN AND MARRIEDDOROTHY ANN COSBY IN 1839. THEY HAD NINE CHILDREN. THEIR MARRIAGERECORD SHOWS THEIR NAMES AS ROYAL AND DORROTHY IN THE ROCKVILLE, PARKECOUNTY, INDIANA CLERK'S OFFICE. ON THE DEATH CERTIFICATE OF WILLIAM,THEIR SON, THERE NAMES ARE SPELLED URIAH AND DORETHA. HE OWNED THEFIRST MILL FOR PROCURING BREAD STUFFS IN HOWARD TOWNSHIP IN PARKECOUNTY, PRIOR TO 1860.
