    Notes:

    Marie Swick was born in 1897. She married Eugene WISE, who was born in 1896 and died in 1972. He is buried in the Cemetery of the Concord Methodist Church, North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. They raised 52 foster children, and had one child of their own.

  1. 10.  Samuel Orrin Swick was born on 16 Jun 1873 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania (son of Daniel W. Swick and Mary Ann Boots); died on 23 Apr 1934 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania; was buried in Concord Methodist Cemeter, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

    Notes:

    In a 1983 interview Marie Wise (nee' Swick), recalled that her father, Samuel O. Swick, developed blood poisoning in one arm. To save his life, his brother, Dr. J. Howard Swick, came to the farm with five nurses, and performed an amputation of the arm on the kitchen table. She also recalled accompanying her father on his rounds as the census taker in North Sewickley Township for 1910 and 1920.

    Samuel married Eva Jane Frazier on 20 May 1896. Eva was born in 1872; died on 29 Apr 1919; was buried in Concord Methodist Cemeter, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    OBITUARY of Eva Jane Frazier Swick.

    "Death came suddenly to Mrs. Eva Jane Frazier Swick, wife of Samuel O. Swick, of North Sewickley township, at her home, at 2 o'clock Tuesday morning, April 29, 1919. Mrs. Swick was in the 46th year of her age. She is survived by her husband, one daughter - Mrs. Eugene Wise - and three sons: Frank, Fred and Orrin Swick. She was a lifelong resident of North Sewickley township, and for many years an active, consecrated member of Concord church. Always ready to turn her hand to any and every good work of the church and community she will be greatly missed by all who worked with her. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Brown, pastor of the Christian Missionary Alliance. Rev. Arthur Jackson assisted in the other services. The interment was at Concord cemetery, May 1st, 1919."
