11. | "Dixie" Dorothy May Dixon was born on 3 Jul 1923 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England (daughter of James Dixon and Florence May Lloyd); died on 12 Aug 1980 in Kelmscott, Western Australia, Australia; was buried on 15 Aug 1980 in Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia. Notes:

Dixie served in the Women's Land Army, and was present in Coventry on the
night of 14th November 1940. She remembered digging the dead out of the ruins
of their homes.
Instrumental in the establishment of the "Over sixties" club in Armadale,
she suffered from acute asthma, which finally caused her death at age 57.
