2. | David I. Wood was born in 1797 in Mohawk Valley, New York (son of John Wood and Margarita [Van Der Werker] Wood); died on 31 May 1883 in Alto, Fondulac County, Wisconsin. Notes:
David lived in Cinga County, New York, in 1824. They spoke Dutch until their children were old enough to attend school, then they spoke both Dutch and English. In 1830 David moved to Atica, Wyoming County, New York. In 1844 they moved to Kanosia, Wisconsin, but one year later moved to Alto, Fondulac County, Wisconsin. David lived here the remainder of his life. He is buried southwest of Alto.
