    VEEDERSBURG, INDIANA
    Mrs. Elva Douglas, 65, of 304 Dewey, died at 9:35 p.m. Friday (Feb. 5,1971) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, ILL., where she had beena patient two weeks. Born July 28, 1904 at Stone Bluff, she was thedaughter of Benjamin and Rebecca Regal Butts. She was married Dec,24, 1920 in Fountain County to Everett Douglas. She attended theSterling Church of God. Survivors include her husband; a daughter,Mrs. Sylvia Holt of Covington; five sons, Gordon, Eugene and Donaldall of Veedersburg, Wayne of Cates and Carl of Brookville, FLa.; twobrothers, Earl Butts of Veedersburg and Guy Butts of VeteransAdministration Hospital in Danville, 28 grandchildren; and fivegreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six children, abrother and three grandchildren. Arrangements are pending at theParham Funeral Home." The newspaper nor date of the article ismentioned. However, Joyce L.C. Elkins closely watched the two localpapers specifically, the Clintonian of Clinton, Vermillion County, andthe Rockville of Parke County, Indiana.
