    Notes:

    On 10th May, 1513 he had sasine of Windiehill.

  1. 4.  Roger (4th Lord of Lag) Grierson was born about 1439 (son of Vedast (3rd of Lag) Grierson); died before 26th July 1488 in Sauchieburn, Scotland.

    Notes:

    (Chief) Roger Grierson, 4th Lord of Lag was born c1439, Dumfries-shire, Scotland. He was son of Vedast (Vaast) Grierson, 3rd Lord of Lag, & his wife, who is Uknown to history. Roger, 4th Lord of Lag married Isabel KirkPatrick, daughter of Winfred Kirkpatrick, in 1473, Dumfries-shire, Scotland. Roger, 4th Lord of Lag, died before the date of July 26th, 1488, at Sauchieburn, Scotland in consequence of wounds during the Battle of Sauchieburn, Scotland, which was fought on June 11th, 1488, at the side of Sauchie Burn, a brook about two miles south of Strling, Scotland. In 1473 he was granted a charter for Lag by King James III of Scotland.

  2. 6.  James (5th Baron of Drumlanrig) Douglas (son of Sir William (4th Baron of Drumlanrig) Douglas and Elizabeth (of Sanquhar) Crichton); died in 1498.

    Notes:

    Married:
    Some sources imply the date of Nov 1470 Janet to James Douglas (5th Drumlanrig) was not the marriage but a marriage contract. As their son William (6th Drumlanrig) was seemingly born in 1481, this may be right.

    2. Sir William (6th Baron of Drumlanrig) Douglas was born before 1484; died on 9 Sep 1513 in Battle Of Flodden.

  1. 8.  Vedast (3rd of Lag) Grierson was born about 1415 (son of Gilbert (2nd of Lag) Grierson); died after 1475.

    Notes:

    In 1437 he obtained the charter for Rocall (Rock Hall) from the Duke of Albany.
    Before 1465 he held Bordlands.
    In 1467 he obtained the charter for Glencain.
    Before 1468 he obtained the charter for Windiehill.
    In 1475 he obtained the charter for Drumjoan from King James III of Scotland.

    Children:
    1. 4. Roger (4th Lord of Lag) Grierson was born about 1439; died before 26th July 1488 in Sauchieburn, Scotland.

  2. 12.  Sir William (4th Baron of Drumlanrig) Douglas (son of Sir William (3rd Baron of Drumlanrig) Douglas and Margaret (of Trothorwald) Carlyle); died on 2 Jul 1484 in Battle Of Kirtie.

    Notes:

    He was killed at the Battle of Kirtle, between Lochmaben and Carlisle, fighting under the royal banner in the engagement with the Duke of Albany and the Earl of Douglas, when those noblemen invaded Scotland.
