Yes, I originally had his birth year as 1837, but then the deathcertificate stated 1831. It's kind of strange because his parentswere Married in 1836. I wonder if someone wrote down the wrong dateas 1831 on the death certificate? Amy"

"I just got back from Parke Co, and Montgomery Co. Some new info onthe Reynolds side, Mary Wright Reynold's was the daughter of James C.Wright and Caroline Hill Mullen. I went and found the info on James'death in Parke Co. I don't know if you need any of this, but I knowsince you have info on the Reynolds, you might want the Wrights.
    Death info:
James Crawford Wright died 9-1905 in Parke Co. IN (my records hadshown that he died in March)
birth: 12/22/1831 (I had him born in 1837 considering hisparents were married in 1836)
father: Dennis Wright born in KY
mother: L Crawford, born in IN
wife: Caroline Mullen ( she died before he did)
Cause of Death: Conclusion of the brain caused by a kick in the headby a horse hoof
    Buried: Waveland
Not sure what it meant by Waveland. I checked all the Montgomery Corecords, and also visited a cemetery in Waveland and couldn't findhim. I suspect he doesn't have a grave.
I also have an obit which I can scan and email to you. I also foundthat James' father, Dennis, owed 40 acres in Union Township, Parke Co.in 1832. And according to the obit, James had an Uncle James H.Wright who lived in the area and died a year before. I did find aJohn H Wright who died within the same year on the census's, not sureif it's the same person." [Transcribed 07 July 2008, SLJuhl,Compiler]

For some time Wrighthas been living in a tent with his son George and wife just belowWildman's hollow on the Montezuma road where he owned a few acres ofground. That morning he was trying to assist a horse, which hadfallen down in a little hollow and was lying on its back, to get upwhen the animal in its lunging struck him on the right side of thehead with one if its front feet. Very soon he became unconscious fromconcussion of the brain in which condition he remained until death.Dr. Rogers was called but could do nothing for him.
