The Murray's of the Clermont line succeeded to the Baronetcy of the Newton line when Sir William Murray of Newton, 4th Baronet dsp. The only Sir William of the Clermont line after inheritance of the Baronetcy lived far too late to be Anne's father.
I have had to assume that this Sir William was the 3rd Baronet of the old line, on the death of whose son the 4th Baronet the title passed to the Clermont family.Notes:
