Located in 1840 census for, Jackson Co., Indiana. Living ne ar brothers Martin and Noble.

Located in 1850 census for, La Salle Mission, Indiana.

Some time between 1860 and 1863 James married moved to Neva da where his first child was born, I believe that Abel an d maybe George went with James and his wife to Nevada. It i s believed that Indians killed Abel while scouting for th e Army in Nevada. James and his family moved back to Missou ri between 1866 and 1869 because their son Galles was bor n in MO about 1869. In the 1870 MO census it gave that Jame s's mother Jane was living with him and his family, his fat her had died by this time. I believe they were living on th e home place where Ebenezer, Jane and family had moved to f rom IL about 1855.

Ebenezer and Jane stayed in Jackson Co., Indiana after the y married in 1830 until around the time their daughter marr ied in 1848 and after the probate for Jane's father Abel Fi ndley Sr. was mostly completed then moved to IL. Ebenezer , Jane and family were in the 1850 Mission Twp., La Salle C o., IL census. They moved to MO about 1855, they were in th e 1860 MO, Genty Co. census Post Office Allendale. In 186 1 this was changed to Worth Co., MO.

Children still at home with Ebenezer and Jane was Samuel, J ames, Abel and George. Some time between 1860 and 1863 Jame s married moved to Nevada where his first child was born , I believe that Abel and maybe George went with James an d his wife to Nevada. It is believed that Indians killed Ab el while he was scouting for the Army in Nevada. James an d his family moved back to Missouri between 1866 and 1869 b ecause their son Galles was born in MO about 1869. In the 1 870 MO census it gave that James's mother Jane was living w ith him and his family, his father had died by this time . I believe they were living on the home place where Ebenez er, Jane and family had moved to from IL about 1855.
