    JANE DIAMOND BOYCE, daughter of JOHN and MARY DIAMOND, wa s born in Devonshire, England, May 6, l845, and died at Emp oria, Kansas, September l5, l924, at the age of 79 years , 4 months and 9 days. When nine years of age she came wit h her parents to Sandusky County, Ohio, where she grew to w omanhood.

    On January l, l863, she was married to WM. BOYCE. To this u nion were born eleven children, three having died in infanc y and JOHN T. in Feb., l924. Those surviving are: GEORGE D. , of Colorado Springs, Colorado; MRS. MARY KEHLER, of Empor ia, Kansas; MRS. FANNIE TRISLER, of Garden Grove; MRS. CHAS . KELLEY, of Van Wert; JAMES G., of Leslie; MRS IDA COON, o f San Marcial, N.M.; and WILLIAM H., of Des Moines.

    About l896, the family came to Iowa, settling hear Humeston . They also resided near Garden Grove and Weldon, later mov ing near Van Wert, where MR. BOYCE died in July, l900. Sinc e that time, MRS. BOYCE had spent her time with the childre n. She united with the M.E. Church in Humeston, shortly aft er coming to Iowa. Besides the children she leaves to mour n their loss, seventeen grandhcildren and eleven great gran dchildren.

    The funeral services were conducted from the Van Wert M.E . Church in the absence of the Pastor, by Rev. LeRoy Munyon , Minister of the Osceola Christian Church, on Friday after noon, September l7th. Interment was made at the Van Wert Ce metery.

    Fannie married Stephen A Trisler in Apr 1891 in Decatur Co., Iowa. Stephen (son of Jacob Levi Trisler and Louisa Douglass) was born in Aug 1866 in Franklin, Decatur Co., Iowa; died in 1940; was buried in Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Decatur Co., Iowa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Children:
    1. Lelia May Trisler was born on 15 Dec 1891 in Weldon, Wayne Co., Iowa; died on 13 Mar 1960 in Leon, Decatur Co., Iowa.
    2. Lena Boyce Trisler was born on 15 Dec 1891 in Weldon, Wayne Co., Iowa; died in 1978 in Iowa, USA; was buried in Garden Grove, Decatur Co., Iowa.
