    This Indenture made the Thirtieth day of January
    in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand seven hundred and
    Sixty two Between Michael Kafer of the Parish of Brumfield
    in the County of Culpeper and Colony of Virginia of the one Part
    and John Clore of the Parish County and Colony aforesaid of the
    other Part Witnesseth that the said Michael Kafer for and in
    Consideration of the Natural Love and Fatherly Effection [sic] that he
    hath and Doth bear for his said Son inlaw John Clore and
    Dorothy his Wife the Daughter of the said Michael Kafer and also for
    and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings Current money to him
    in Hand paid the receipt whereof he the said Michael Cafer doth herebyConfess
    and acknowledge himself contented and paid Hath Given Granted -
    Bargain'd sold Enfectted[?] and Confirmed unto him the said John Clore
    and Dorothy his Wife One certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lyingand
    being int he fork of the Robinson & Rappidan Rivers and Contained by
    Estimation One hundred Acres be the same more or Less and is bounded
    as follows to wit Begining at a Corner with John Weaver in a Line of a
    Patent formerly Granted to the said Cafer for four hundred Acres ofLand
    bearing Date the fourth Day of June One thousand seven Hundred and
    twenty six and thence with the said Weaver's Line to three red OakesCorner
    to George Utz and Continuing with Utz's Line eighty Poles to a _ing[?]Oak
    Sassafras and Hickory corner with Nicholas Criglar Thence North Sixty
    five degrees West to the upper Line of the Patent to three red Oaks
    Thence reversing the cours of the Patent and runing North twenty five
    degrees West to two red Oaks Continuing still to reverse the course ofthe said
    Patent it runs South sixty five degrees East to a White oak & Hickorycorner
    now to John Berry Jun'r thence with the said Berry's Line to theBeginning
    Together with all Houses out houses Gardens Orchards Gardens fences
    Medows seedings Ways Water Water Courses and all and Singular the
    Profits Commodities Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the same
    belonging or in any Wise Appertaining To have and to hold
    the above mentioned Tract of Land and Premises witht he Appurtenan

    and teh said Michael Kafer his Heirs and Assigns for themselves

    unto them the said John Clore and Dorothy his Wife shall and

    Michael Kafer for himself his Heirs &c doth further promise
    Grant and Agree to and with him the said John Clore his Heirs
    and Assigns that at the Time of Sealing and Delivery of these
    presents he has Good right full power and Lawfull Authority to sell
    and Dispose of the same in manner and form aforesaid and that from
    henceforth the said John Clore shall beinthe Actual Possession of
    the said Land and premises and that the said Land and premises is
    freely and Clearly Exonerated Acquited and Discharged of all and all
    former bargains, Sales, Gifts, Grants, Dowers, Wills, or any right or

    Line to the Beginning together with all Houses Outhouses Gardens
    fences Meadows feedings ways Waters and Water Courses and all and

    hold the above mentioned Tract of Land and premises with theappurtenances

    I Michael Kaffer of the Parish of Bromfield & County of Culpeper beingin perfect health & Sound Memory but Considering the uncertainty ofthings in this World & that all Flesh is (grass?) therefore I makethis my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following - - -First I recommend my Soul to God that gave it trusting and surelybelieving that through the Merits of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christto receive full Remission and forgiveness of all my Sins, My Body Icommitt to the Earth to be decently buried at the direction of myExecutors hereafter Named
