    Catherine Schechter (Neil) Louise Ross-Johns(Stan) Donald Ross (Fran) and nine grandchildren , Simeon Ross, Dana Ross, Laura Schechter, Sam Schechter, Andrew Ross, Keir Ross, Micaela Ross, Connor Ross, Liam Ross, two step-grandsons Matthew Johns and Marc Johns.

    Predeceased by his parents Alexander Ross of Montreal and Grace Davis Ross of Wichita, Kansas,and sister Jean Morrison, Toronto. He is survived by brother Bob Ross, Bracebridge, ON and sister Alice Rothney, Winnipeg., MB

    Bill spent his childhood in Manchuria, moved to Montreal for his high school and university years. He was a proud member of the Black Watch seeing action in Belgium and Holland as a platoon commander. Finishing his degree in Chemical Engineering at McGill in 1947 he joined Imperial Oil and remained with them for 38 years, pioneering many aspects of pollution control. He was instrumental in setting up the Alberta Special Waste Corporation as a member of their Board for several years.

    With a beautiful bass voice, Bill was a member of and soloist with choirs in the many cities in which he lived, Montreal, Sarnia, Winnipeg, Catania, Sicily, London, England , Edmonton and Calgary. He delighted in sailing ,hiking , skiing and travelling .

    Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew?s United Church 924 Heritage Dr. S.W. Monday March 21 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Bill Ross may be made to the Glenbow Museum's Acquisition Fund and will be used to purchase objects in Bill Ross' name. The Glenbow Museum is at 130 - 9 Avenue SE T2G 5A6.
