    George Hay Dawkins-Pennant (1764? 1840), of Penrhyn Castle, Caernarvonshire and 56 Portland Place, Middlesex, was an English politician. He was the second son of Henry Dawkins and his original name was George Hay Dawkins; the surname Pennant was added when he inherited the estate of Richard Pennant, 1st Baron Penrhyn, who died in 1808

    Notes:

    James Douglas, 14th Earl of Morton KT FRS (1702 - October 12, 1768), was a Scottish representative peer who became president of the Royal Society (24 March 1764), and was a distinguished patron of science, and particularly of astronomy.

    He graduated MA from King's College, Cambridge in 1722.[1] In 1746 he visited France, and was imprisoned in the Bastille, probably as a Jacobite.

    He was living in Chiswick at the time of his death, and his widow was still payong rated there in 1775. 'Douglas conveyed the mansion with 7 a. of garden to Robert Stevenson in 1783 and the site of Turret House to William Cock, a market gardener, in 1791.'
