" I am Ila Eckstadt, widow of John Eckstadt, who was son of GeorgeVictor Eckstadt who lived Evanston, Illinois. George was born inSweden and son of Elizabeth who lived over 100 years in Sweden and hada large family. George was deaf from a childhood illnesss anddifficult to talk to. I know of only one sister, Anna, who lived inPennsylvanis and never married. There were relatives in Sister Bay,Wisconsin but my husband couldn't remember their names and may havebeen on his Mother's side. John and I moved to Texas in 1949., I wasin hopes you could give me a lead back to Sweden. My husband thoughtthe name was spelled Eksted in Sweden. Census records show aFrederick Eckstadt in Evanston, Illinois but George never mentionedhim so I don't know if he was related. George died in 1949 and Johnin 2005.Ila Eckstadt608 HunterKilgore, Texas 75662903 9847564lacecurtan@cablelynx.com" Note: Answered with these three freesites of recommendation for research in the Netherlands, andencouraged patience in their use. http://www.genlias.nl/en/search.jsp
