    Notes:

    He succeeded his father to the Dukedom of Roxburghe in 1974.

    He was educated at Eton College, Magdalene College, Cambridge where he studied Land Economy, and at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where he was awarded the Sword of Honour in 1974, in which year he became a Lieutenant in the Blues and Royals.

    The duke is also a baronet, and the 30th feudal baron of Innes.

    He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers and a Freeman of the City of London.

    The Duke lived at Floors Castle, Kelso, Roxburghshire

  1. 8.  Henry John (8th Duke of Roxburghe) Innes-Ker was born on 24 Jul 1876 (son of James Henry Robert (7th Duke of Roxburghe) Innes-Ker); died in Sep 1932.

    Notes:

    He was a Lieutenant in the Royal Horse Guards and served with the Household Cavalry composite regiment in South Africa during the Second Boer War in 1900. He served as ADC to the Duke of Cornwall and York during Colonial tour of 1901. He later served in World War I, and was severely wounded.

    He was appointed a Member of the Royal Victorian Order in 1901. He was appointed a Knight of the Thistle in 1902, and served as Chancellor of the Order of the Thistle from 1926 until his death.

    He was Lord Lieutenant of Roxburghshire from 1918 until his death. He was appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Company of Archers in 1930.
