  1. 1.  Elizabeth Dynham (daughter of John 6th Lord Dinham and Joan Arches); died on 19 Oct 1516.

    Notes:

    Elizabeth Dinham (died 19 October 1516), second sister, who married firstly Fulk Bourchier, 10th Baron FitzWarin (died 18 September 1479), feudal baron of Bampton in Devon, and secondly Sir John Sapcotes (died 5 January 1501) of Elton, Huntingdonshire.[20] She married thirdly Sir Thomas Brandon (died 27 January 1510). In a stained-glass window of Bampton Church are visible the arms of Sapcotes (or Shapcott) Sable, three dovecotes argent impaling quarterly of four, 1st & 4th: Gules, four fusils ermine (Dinham), 2nd & 3rd Gules, three arches argent (Arches, for Sir Richard Arches (died 1417) of Eythrope, Cranwell and Little Kimble, Buckinghamshire, whose daughter Joan Arches (died 1497) was the wife of Sir John Dinham (1406? 1458), and thus was Elizabeth Dinham's mother.

    Family/Spouse: Fulke (Lord Fitz-Waryn) Bourchier. Fulke (son of William (Baron Fitz-Waryn) Bourchier and Thomasine (Baroness Fitz-Waryn) Hankeford) died in 1497. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    2. John (1st Earl of Bath) Bourchier was born on 20 Jan 1469-1470; died on 30 Apr 1539.

Generation: 2

  1. 2.  John 6th Lord Dinham was born in 1406 (son of John 5th Lord Dinham); died between 25 Jan 1457 and 1458.

    Notes:

    His principal seats were at Nutwell and Kingskerswell in South Devon and Hartland in North Devon

    John married Joan Arches before 12 Jul 1434. Joan (daughter of Sir Richard Arches) died in 1497. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Notes:

    Joan Arches (1410? 1497), who became a substantial heiress. She was a minor aged 7 at her father's death and in 1420 disposal of her marriage was granted to Thomas Chaucer, (died 1434), son and heir of the poet Geoffrey Chaucer and 14 times MP for Oxfordshire. Chaucer had acquired in 1415 most of the lands of Sir Richard Arches' uncle Sir Richard II Adderbury (died 1416), twice MP for Oxfordshire, which included Donnington Castle and manor, Berkshire. In 1421 at the age of 11 she also became heir to the lands of her half-brother Richard Greville (died 1421), of Ilbury in Deddington, Oxfordshire, MP for Oxfordshire in 1420, her mother's son from her first marriage. Joan was married to Sir John Dinham (1406? 1458) of Nutwell, Devon. Their son and heir was John Dinham, 1st Baron Dinham (1433? 1501), KG; they also had at least five daughters

    2. John 7th Lord Dinham, KG was born in 1403; died between 28 Jan 1500 and 1501.
    3. 1. Elizabeth Dynham died on 19 Oct 1516.

  1. 4.  John 5th Lord Dinham was born about 1359; died on 24 Dec 1428.
    Children:
    1. 2. John 6th Lord Dinham was born in 1406; died between 25 Jan 1457 and 1458.

  2. 6.  Sir Richard Arches died in 1417.

    Notes:

    Sir Richard Arches (died 1417), of Eythrope, in the parish of Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire, was MP for Buckinghamshire in 1402. He was knighted before 1401

    Children:
    1. 3. Joan Arches died in 1497.
