    "Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae:" 1868 JAMES WILLIAM MILROY, born 6th Nov. 1836, marr. 6th Oct. 1875, Jane (died s.p. 16th July 1913), daugh. of Peter M'Gill, town-clerk, Kinross, and widow of Adam Black Douglas, min. of Carnock. He had been minister of Scots church Gatehead-on-Tyne

    Adam Black Douglas was b. 1805, son of Adam D., farmer and miller, and Isobel Blair. Ord 12 Oct1843, minister of Carnock, Fife. Died Edinburgh 23 Apr1862. he married 10/16 Jan1859 Jane, dau of Peter McGill, town clerk, Kinross. She marr 6 Oct1875 James William Milroy, min of Colmonell.

    In 1871 and 1881 James W. Milroy, minister was at Colmonell (census). In 1841 Peter McGill (1796 Kinross, writer, sheriff clerk), daughter Jane (1832 Kinross) were at Kinross (census). In 1861 A.B. Douglas (1808 Hownam, Roxburghs., minister), wife Jane McGill (1832 Kinross) were at Carnock, Fife (census).

    (Research):He is listed in Edinburgh University matriculation lists as from Roxburghshire and studying literature, 1827? 30.

    Adam married Jane McGill in 10/16 Jan1859. Jane (daughter of Peter McGill) was born before 1859; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
