  September 12th 1901 Charles was mentioned in the Dundee Evening Post: "Railway Promotion- Mr Charles Douglas, who has for the past 3 1/2 years been booking clerk at Blairgowrie Railway Station, has been promoted to be stationmaster at Kinfauns, in place of Mr McLaren, who has been appointed head relief man at Perth." He later became a farmer at Labothie in Inverarity in Angus.
