Sir William Monteith Scott, Baronet [S. 1671], of to Ancrum, 1st s. and h., b. in Clarges Street, 1829 ; sometime Lieut. 79th Foot; Capt. Roxburgh Vol. Rifles, 1859; suc. to the Baronetcy, 12 Oct. 1871. He m. 17 Jan. 1861, at St. Geo. Han. sq., Amelia Murray, 1st da. of Gen. Sir Thomas Monteath Douglas, K.C.B., of Douglas-support and Stonebyres, co. Lanark. She d. 3 Nov. 1890. He d. s.p.m.s., 21 May 1902, in Paris, when the Baronetcy became extinct."
