  Jane Mathews was born in Virginia in 1771, and died in Highland County, Ohio, where her will was proven 17 July 1844. She married 27 December 1794, in Augusta County, Virginia, Isaac TELFAIR, and had two children, both of whom are named in her will. In her will she mentions her children, Ann E. Lilley and Isaac. She speaks of Virginia, and directs her Executrix, Ann E. Lilley to dispose of her effects "without the influence of her husband, brother or child." The witnesses were James Keys and Samuel Steele.
