Peterson to Marilyn Morgan, Feb. 28, 2000 "The information I have about Lydia Hopkins' family comes from a short history that was written by Robert Arthur Minkler and sent to my grandfather in 1976. Robert A. Minkler wrote "The Family Minkler" a genealogy of the Minkler family and most of the information came from his research on that book. Additional information comes from "Minkler in America: A Genealogy" by William Ward Miller. The history indicates Andrew Minkler worked for Crandall Hopkins as a clerk in a small store on the Hopkins homestead. That is how he meet and later married Lydia. Ray, their son, is the my ancestor. Ray A Minkler married three times and my Grandfather is his oldest son from his second wife. I have a history of Ray A Minkler written by his third wife and also by Myrtice Cowin Dickenson, oldest daughter of Ray A Minkler's oldest sister Minnie. I met his third wife, Vula, when I was very young. My mother was writing her to get information and we stopped one summer on our way through California. I remember she used to knit us stockings and things and send to our house in Utah."
