Crawfordsville Review 1-1-1916 Saturday - Eliza Ellen REDENBAUGH,daughter
of Jeremiah and Eliza Redenbaugh was born 2 miles west of New Ross2-26-1855
departed this life, 12-8-1915 being past her 60th birthday. She wasmarried
to William BROWN 2-14-1872 to this union 5 hcildren were born: Luella;
Josephine; Elizabeth; Jesse and James. She was married in 1886 to Jhon
MUNSON 3 children born: Ora, Ina and Celia. In 1897 she married Abijah
Dowden but over three years ago was left a widow. She united with the
Christian Church at Ladog and was baptized when she was in her teens.She is
survived by six children: Mrs. Luella Minich and Miss Celia haveproceeded
their mother to the grave: Mrs. Josephine Engle at whose home onTuttle
Avenue she died. Mrs. Eliza Layne, Jesse Brown and James Brown of nearNew
Ross, Ora Munson of Idaho and Mrs. iva Booher of near Ladoga. Sheleaves 18
grandchildren to miss their grandmother's love. Two sisters and two
brothers survive. Mrs. Sarah Hosier of this city, William Redenbaughand
Mrs. Nancy Eddingfield of near New Ross and George REdenbaugh ofSmartsburg
and a host of other relatives of this county and she will be missed byher
many friends which was number by all who knew her. Over 3 years agoshe
began to lose her sight and for over two years had been blind. Herhealth
failed with her sight but she was only sick three days before death.In the
last months she repeatingly expressed her desire to leave this darkworld
and being ready at any time."
