MAX WILLIAM FARNER, 81, of Montezuma, died March 01, 2000, in Crystalriver, Fla. He was an auto-mobile mechanic. Born Feb. 27, 1919, inShepardsville, he was the son of Fred Farner and Nina Smith Farner.He was a member of Greencastle Church of God. He was preceded indeath by his wife, Hazel Farner, who died Oct. 18, 1997. Survivorsinclude two sons, Charles Max Farner of Terre Haute and Roy RobertMathews of Montezuma; one daughter, Darlene Magill of Greencastle; onesister, Hazel Quick of Brazil; five grandchildren; and fourgreat-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1P.M. Friday in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma with Rev. RichardClevenger officiating. There is no visitation.
