Virginia Ruth Robinson
Born in Coshocton, OH on Jun. 12, 1919 Departed on Oct. 27, 2004 andresided in Dover, formerly New Philadelphia, Ohio. No visitation.Service: Monday Nov. 1, 2004 "Virginia R. Robinson, 85, of Dover,formerly of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at NewDawn Retirement Center. A daughter of the late Darius and NancyBlackson Slonecker, she was born June 12, 1919, in Coshocton, Ohio.She was married to Theodore A. Robinson for 46 years, prior to hisdeath in 1987. Together they raised their family and were activemembers of the Atwood Yacht Club. Virginia was later employed as aswitchboard operator at Union Hospital in Dover for many years. Shewas a member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Philadelphia anda former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She took greatdelight in her dog, Mindy, and was well-known as a wonderful cook, anavid bridge player, and a long-time supporter of the new PhiladelphiaHigh School Quaker Marching Band. She is survived by her daughtersand sons-in-law, Kandace and Ed Richardson of Canton and Cheryl andJoe Baker of New Philadelphia; son and daughter-in-law, Roger (Mona)Robinson of Dover; four grandchildren, Michelle Atkinson and herfiance, Neal Dickerhoof of Strasburg, David Booth of New Philadelphia,Jason (Sara) Baker of New Philadelphia, and Jeremy Baker of NewPhiladelphia; and four great-grandchildren, Gabryell Virginia RuthAtkinson, Joseph James "J.J." Baker, Regan Allyn Baker, and Hannah JoBaker. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,two brothers, Arthur and Leslie Slonacker; and an infant brother. Amemorial service to celebrate Virginia's life will be Monday, November1, 2004, at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in NewPhiladelphia with Rev. Michael Seely officiating. Cremation will beconducted at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in NewPhiladelphia. Burial will be at Evergreen Burial Park at a laterdate.
