Beaton J. Case Obituary

Beaton J. Case, 89, of South Windsor, husband of the late, Marion (Robert) Case, died Thursday, (December 11, 2003) at a local nursing home. Born on July 3, 1914, in South Windsor, son of the late, Harper and Henrietta (Squires) Case, he was a lifelong resident of South Windsor. He graduated from Manchester High School. He loved music and played clarinet and saxophone in the "Case Family Band" through the 20's and 30's and then played in the "Art McKay Band" in the 40's and 50's. He worked on the Case family farm in South Windsor and retired from Hamilton Standard and Trinity College. Mr. Case spent his retirement years gardening and caring for his dogs. He leaves a son, Beaton J. Case, Jr. of Manchester; a daughter, Angela M. Case of New Britain; a brother, Neil S. Case of East Hartford; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a niece, Barbara Sullivan of South Windsor. Funeral service will be Monday, 2 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Burial will be in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor. His family will receive friends, Monday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Worldwide Lighthouse Missions, PO Box 5010, Manchester 06045.
