Hi, this is from a book "Commemorative Biographical Records" I hope it's of some help to someone.
Braman, Hamilton, was born in Schoarie County, NY 9/30/1836, a son of Rhodes
and Catherine (Russ). The father was born and reared in Rhode Island, of
which state the grandfather, James Braman was also a native. Hamilton at age
14 came with his parents to Wayne County, PA. The parents had 6 children.
The children of the family were all born in Schoharie County, NY. The father
purchased a farm at what is now known as Indian Orchard, on the Hawley road
near Honesdale, and there he and his wife spent their last days, both dying
upon that place in 1860. their children; Maria, married W.L.Case and lived
on a farm in Wayne County where she died 1894, leaving one son, John;
Margaret, married Daniel Gore, a native of Germany, she lived at
Factoryville, PA., her children are Annie, Hattie and Hosea; Elizabeth
married John S. Garret of Wayne County and made her home at Indian Orchard,
she had 5 children, Henry, Nelson, Katie, Effie and Lizzie; P.L. married
Betsy Church of Bethany, Wayne County, and they had 2 daughter, Adda and
Maud; Nelson married Ida Root of Wayne County, they moved to Austin, Potter
County, PA., they had 3 daughter, Sadie, Nellie and Edith; Hamilton Braman
who completes the family.
