Margaret D. Corn, daughter of William and Sarah Corn was born inMontgomery County, Indiana May 1, 1833 departed this life May 17, 1909aged 75 years 10 months and 16 days. She was married June 24, 1855, toNoah C. LINN. To this union were born 7 children, 18 grandchildren andone great grandchild. Her husband, one son and three daughters havepreceded their mother into that vast beyond. There are 3 children whosurvive her, namely James W Mrs. Nancy J. Ray and Joseph A. Thedeceased leaves a brother, George Corn of Ladoga, and a host offriends to mourn her loss. The deceased lived a quiet Christian life,having joined the Methodist church in 1858. She bore her afflictionsas only a Chrisitan can. She was a faithful, loving friend and motherand to know her was to love her. Aunt Margaret as she was familiarlyknown, was kind, gentle and loving, always ready to do waht she couldto encourage others along life's rough way. She made little complainin all her afflictions and with patience, kindness and love tried tofill as best she could the three most responsible missions in life towhich woman is called - that of wife, mother and Christian...."[Transcribed 20 March 2007, SLJuhl, compiler]
