Notes - John Wallace, of Ferguslie died at Paisley in December 1651. In his "latter will" he names James Wallace, his younger son, as his executor, "with the special advyse and consent of Margaret Hamilton, his spouse." As overseers he appoints, among others, Sir John Hamilton of Orbieston, and Thomas Stewart, fiar of Barscube, his sons-in-law.
