  (Research):Is this her father? 1833, Feb. 20. At Falmouth, aged 63, Capt. Joseph Lamb Popham, R.N. father of the present High Sheriff of Cornwall. He was a half-brother of the late Rear-Adm. Sir Home Popham, K.C.B. He was made a Lieut. 1794, Commander 1797, and posted 1800. He married July 17, 1801, Miss Wallis, of Trevarno, near Helston. ("G.M.," 284.)
