Simon joined Luminar Group Holdings plc as Chief Executive Officer on 8 March 2010.

 

Simon has a strong track record in the leisure and entertainment sector, including management roles at HMV, Virgin Retail and most recently in leading the management buy out of Zavvi, where he extracted considerable shareholder value from the business(1). Simon has significant expertise in managing multi-site, consumer focused, branded entertainment businesses.

1.  The above is taken from Simon's CV.  I am not sure how this squares with the fact that Zavi collapsed in 2009/2009.
