Sholto Charles Douglas, Lord Aberdour

    Sholto Charles Douglas, Lord Aberdour was born on 4 December 1878. He was the eldest son of Sholto George Douglas, 19th Earl of Morton and Hon. Helen Geraldine Ponsonby.

 

    He married Minnie Christina Brenda Hay, daughter of Admiral Lord John Hay and Annie Christina Lambert, on 5 June 1905.

    He was styled as Lord Aberdour between 1884 and 1911.

     

    He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Leicestershire Yeomanry and in the service of the 4th Battalion, Oxfordshire Light Infantry.
