Captain William Anderson Douglas, Royal Scots, was the younger son of Robert A Douglas and a member of the family then owning Gray's of George Street.

He died on 24 August 1916, age 26.

He is listed on the Thiepval Memorial on the Somme.

His surviving older brother was Robert.
