David, 7th Earl of Angus

After the death of Archibald, 6th Earl of Angus the Earldom fell to his nephew, David, and the Douglases of Pittendreich. David, born circa 1515, was the elder brother of James, 4th Earl of Morton, who became Regent of Scotland during the reign of Mary, Queen of Scots. David married Margaret, daughter of John Hamilton of Samuelson. He died in 1557.
