Bruce
Douglas, a respected entrepreneur and product visionary, was elected
to the Board of Directors of 3|SHARE Corporation on 21st March 2011.
Douglas is the former Vice President of Global Professional
Services at Sun Microsystems where he managed a US$1B P&L across 160
countries and 7000 resources. Prior to joining Sun, Douglas was the
Co-Founder, President and CEO of Neogent, a leader in identity
management and compliance solutions, which he sold to Sun
Microsystems in October of 2006.
11 Oct 2011 - Rick Genovese, executive vice president of CIBER North
America, announced that Bruce Douglas is joining CIBER in the role
of senior vice president, sales and business development. A veteran
of both Oracle and Sun services businesses, as well as an
entrepreneur who founded and sold high-end consulting businesses,
Douglas will lead CIBER's efforts in business development throughout
North America. His responsibilities include oversight of strategic
accounts, sales operations, sales support, alliances and CIBER's
vertical industry approach to the North American marketplace.
"Bruce brings proven experience and expertise in building and
executing the sales operations to support a world-class sales team,
pursue and win major deals, and expand within strategic accounts,"
Genovese said. "Additionally, and most importantly, he has a
collaborative, team-oriented personal style and a real focus on the
core of our business: our clients."
Previously, Douglas was
vice president of advanced customer support at Oracle, a company he
joined in early 2010 as a result of the Sun acquisition. Prior to
the acquisition, Douglas was vice president, global professional
services at Sun Microsystems, Inc., where his team provided
solutions based on Sun's storage, systems, and software product
lines to customers around the world. At Sun, Douglas managed a $1
billion global business unit that operating in 160 countries with
more than 1,700 employees and 5,000 partner resources.
Prior
to joining Sun, Douglas was the co-founder, president and CEO of
Neogent, where he brought together a seasoned team of experts and
drove Neogent's successful growth. Neogent was sold to Sun in
October 2006. Before founding Neogent, Douglas spent many years
bringing together unique and successful teams of people in
combination with value-based emerging technologies, ultimately
generating extremely profitable companies, including The Fourth
Tier, which was an emerging customer relationship company that was
later sold to Keane, Inc. in 1997.
"I'm joining CIBER at a
critical point in the company's maturity - a point at which there
are significant prospects for growth - to make a difference in an
exciting organization," Douglas said. "CIBER has a great foundation
to build on. I will hit the ground running with an emphasis on
enabling the sales team, differentiating CIBER from competitors and
rolling out complete solutions to drive new business that brings
sales and revenue."
