The Douglas mausoleum is located in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA.

Oak Hill Cemetery is one of the great examples of the garden cemetery movement of the early to mid 19th century. This cemetery's style derives directly from Romantic landscape paintings by such artists as Claude Lorraine whose idealized pastoral scenes influenced generations of landscape architects. There is evidence, but no proof, that the most recognized proponent of this style in America, A. J. Downing, worked on the cemetery's design.

This style is ideal for the dramatic hills and dales of Oak Hill. The curved, sloping paths lead to intimate views that work perfectly for viewing the sculptural monuments and mausoleums. Recent renovations have made new interments possible for the first time in over a hundred years.

Interred in the mausoleum   are:
1817 - 1884 George Douglas born at Caithness Scotland
1862 - Dec 1899 Lulu (Camp) Douglas first wife of Walter
Dec 1901 Infant son of Lulu & Walter Douglas (2 years after Lulu?)
1828 - 1905 Margaret (Boyd) Douglas, wife of George (born 1825?)
1907 - 1907 Elizabeth, infant daughter of George C & Nathalie (?)
1861 - 1912 Walter Donald Douglas (died on Titanic)
1857 - 1923 George Bruce Douglas
1885 - 1925 Captain George Camp Douglas, Royal Garrison Artillery
1931 - 1931 William Bruce Douglas in urn (6 mo) (who parents?)
1871 - 1937 Irene (Hazeltine) Douglas, wife of George Bruce
1864 - 1945 Mahala (Dutton) Douglas, second wife of Walter
1888 - 1946 Edward Bruce Douglas (E.Bruce - sculptor in France)
