Text | : NASHVILLE NATIVE RITES FRIDAY, October, 1951 Death came at 11:45 a.m. Monday, October 1, to Mrs. Cora Winch of Truman. She was 81 years old and had spent the entire 81 years in this locale. Death was caused by hardening of the arteries. Mrs. Winch was born in Nashville township and continued to live there after her marriage. In 1917, Mrs Winch retired from farming and moved into Truman. Mr. Winch passed away in 1940. Survivors include her sons, Bert, Everett, and Paul of Winnebago, Lee of Inglewood Calif., Jay and Ora of Truman, and Robert of Compton Calif., her daughters Elsie (Mrs. Elmer Sackett of nashville), and Ina (Mrs. Roy Sugar of Weaver Iowa); 21 grandchildren, 23 great granchildren and one brother, Fred Herrick of Truman. Funeral services will e held Friday, October 5, at 10:30 a.m. from the Olson Funeral Home. This will be a family service. At noon the body will be taken to the Truman Baptist Church to lie in state until 2:00p.m. when the final rites will be held. The Reverend Vern Lake will officiate. Burial will be in the Nashville cemetery. Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Olson Funeral Home until Friday noon. | |
