- Catherine may have died in childbirth as the quick sussession of births stopped in 1845 after the birth of Evaline.. Considering how quick the first four children were born and the fact that William B. had eleven children in quick sussesion in his second marriage. This is the current operational theory and there are newspapers available for that period which are now under investigation.
