OBITUARY of Ambrose Boots: "Ambrose Boots, of North Sewickley, died Thursday, February 23, aged 55 years. The deceased was the second son of Edmund and Eliza Boots. He was born and always resided at the place where he died. He was kicked by a horse on the 26th of November, the injuries of which produced partial paralysis and resulted in his death. He was universally esteemed as an upright citizen and neighbor, and leaves a vacancy in the neighborhood which will be hard to fill. He was a consistent member of the M E Church and a faithful teacher. He leaves a wife and family of six children to mourn his loss. The funeral was from the M. E. Church in North Sewickley."
We are told that after his death, his widow promptly went out and shot the offending horse.
The Last Will and Testament of Ambrose Boots, dated 1 January 1893, registered 3 March 1893, mentions his wife Sarah J. Boots, his daughters Cora B. Shanor, Lizzie Boots, Maggie Boots, and his sons Wellington A. Boots, Wright F. Boots, and Dawson J. Boots.
