Notes |
- She inherited Gelston Castle on the death of her father.
She was the last surviving of the original 3,495 nominated names in the state Tontine of 1789.
In 1831, she was in receipt of rents from Caigton and Alorness, in the parish of Buittle.
Living with her at the time of the 1881 census, in Gelston Castle, when she was aged 93, were 3 of her grandchildren, Charles LM Irwan, Eva M Irwan and Gerald M Irwan (+ 6 servants)
The plaque on her tomb gives her age as 100 at time of death.
