Funeral services for Mrs. Ella CLORE who died on Monday were held atthe home on Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. Cornelius Airhart.Mrs. Lowell Spencer played piano selections. The casket was carried byDr Harbeson; AC Deere; Romulus Boyd; Andrew Durham; TN Garland andClaude Smith. The flowers were carried by Mrs. Harriet Jack Cooper;Betty and Eloise Jack; Margaret Cooper; Salmon Servies; Carol Grahamand Hal Clore. Burial at Maple Ridge. Mrs. Mary Shirk and Miss BesseMcClain and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Servies and Salmon of Indianapolis andMr. and Mrs. Withrow Clore of Muscatine, Iowa were here for thefuneral of Mrs. Ella Clore. Mrs. Ella Clore, one of the oldestcitizens of Waveland, died at her home Monday morning May 29, at 5:30.Death followed an extended illness. For a number of years she had beenin failing health, making a brave fight to regain it. All that medicalskill and loving hands could do was done unavailingly. She was bornNov 19, 1859 at Troy, MO the daughter of Ann Wright and TW WITHROW.She was married to Marvin Clore, son of Simeon Clore Oct 24, 1880. Tothem were born five children: Clarence E; Georgiana; Withrow; Harry Sand Emma Gaines. The husband preceded her in death Sept 19, 1929. Shewas the youngest of 8 brothers and sisters, all of whom preceded herin death; also two sons, Clarence and Harry. She was held in esteemfor her devotion to her friends. No sacrifice too great fro one whomshe considered her loyal friend. Her young life was one of usefulness;had excellent educational advantages; was a student at Wood LawnCollege, St. Joseph, Mo; possessed a keen sense of humor; was modestand unassuming. No word of reproach fell from her lips. Intensivekindness of heart. In religion she was Calvinistic. Her grandfatherwas a minister of that denomination. Mrs. Ella Withrow Clore, one of the oldest residents of Waveland, diedat her home Monday morning May 29, 1939 at 5:30 a.m. She was infailing health for a number of years. Born: November 19, 1859 atTroy, MO., the daughter of T.W. and Ann Wright Withrow. She married,Marvin Clore, son of Simeon Clore on October 24, 1880. She was aCalvinistic Religion and her grandfather was a minister of thatreligion. She was the youngest of eight brothers and sisters whopreceded her in death.
