- Commemorated in St Michael's churchyard, Inveresk, with her husband and other relatives
- (Research):May be the daughter of Archibald Douglas and his wife, Margaret (d. 24 Apr 1847).
Margaret is thought to be the daughter of Hon Col James Stuart and his wife Maria
James is claimed to be the younger son of the 8th Earl of Moray, but that James Stuart is thought to have died unmarried.
Lt Col Hon James Stuart, born 17 April 1741 ; captain 20th Foot, 24 February 1762; lieutenant-colonel Sutherland Fencible Regiment, 1793 ; deputy-governor of Fort George, 13 January 1777 ; captain North British Veteran Battalion, 21 April 1803. Died at Fort George 4 May 1808. He died unmarried.
'MARRIAGE: August 24, 1818. At Calcutta, Mr J. Campbell of the Bengal civil service, to Margaret Flora, daughter of the late Mr Douglas, West Indies, and niece of Major J. L. Stuart, honourable East India Company's service.' This clearly implies two things '96 Mr Douglas was dead by 1818 and Margaret Flora Douglas was the niece of JL Stuart which means her mother was a Stuart.
