    • "NOTE: He (Jesse) lived in Annapolis, Ind. since 1930, and part timein Danville, Ill., as he worked at the C.E. & I Railroad Shop there.I can remember before W.W. II, taking lunch to my father, (Vernie) whowas a Blacksmith there, and stopping by the engine shop and talking tomy grandfather (Jesse). I used to spend weekends with him and my stepgrandmother (Effie) when I was very young. Effie, always had a sewingbasket ready for me when I arrived (See Death Certificates)." PerJoyce Lorraine Clore Elkins, daughter of Vernie Tell Clore.
      Jesse Clore died two months after I was born. I never got to know mygrandfather or Effie. Both have been missed greatly by the family. Ionly know what mother (Joyce Lorraine Clore Elkins) has said of themover the years. In December, ca.2002, Mother and I hunted twice inMemory Garden Cemetery, Rockville, Parke County, Indiana, before wefound their headstones and were able to get photos of them, along withBernice (Clore) Overpeck, Fred & Josephine Clore, plus Kenneth & F.Athaleen Clore. This was two months before Mother passed away.Sandra Lee Elkins Juhl, Joyce's daughter, compiler.

      "ROCKVILLE TRIBUNE NEWSPAPER - DECEMBER 30, 1948
      JESSE CLORE, age 64 years old, passed away at 3 A.M. Monday, at hisresidence in Bloomingdale, Ind. (Annapolis). He is survived by hiswidow, Effie, a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Wright of Oakwood, Ill. Twosons, Fred Clore, of Perrysville and Kenneth Clore of Jamestown. Abrother, Alfred Clore of Wallace and a sister, Margaret Shoaf ofKingman. Funeral services were held at eleven o'clock Wed. morning atthe Branson Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Woodard officiating andmusic by Mrs. Frank Anderson. Burial was in Memorial GardensCemetery."

      He is survived by his widow, Effie, a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Wright ofOakwood, Ill. Two sons, Fred Clore, of Perrysville and Kenneth Cloreof Jamestown. A brother, Alfred Clore of Wallace and a sister,Margaret Shoaf of Kingman.
      Funeral services were held at eleven o'clock Wed. morning at theBranson Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Woodard officiating andmusic by Mrs. Frank Anderson. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
