Mrs. Alfred Wendell
Mrs. Alfred Wendell, 80, of 1720 36th St., Moline, died Sunday in theAmericana Nursing Center, Moline.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Wendt Bros. Chapel withthe Rev. Robert Birdsell of Plymouth Gordon United Church of Christofficiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates.
Blanche Thompson was born in Mercer, Mo., and was married to Mr.Wendell in 1912 in Rock Island. He died in 1966.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Ferry and Mrs. WarrenGriffin, both of Moline, and Mrs. Harry Arvanis, East Moline; twosons, James, Fithian, and Melvin, Roseville; 30 grandchildren; 27great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Lueders, East Moline, and abrother, Everett Thompson, Moline.
Two grandchildren preceded her in death."

Franklin County, Indiana and Ohio. Alfred & Blanche had six children,Dorothy
Mae (Lawrence Lesley Ferry), Jennie Mae (Warren Noah Griffin), Alfreda(Harry
Arvanis), James, Melvin, and Fithian Wendell. Mrs. Wendell is buriedat Rose
Lawn Memorial Estates, John Deere Road, Moline, Rock Island County,Illinois
with her husband Alfred.
